Smashwords vs Dash 2 Digital

First of all, if you’re new to self-publishing then you are probably wondering what the hell are Smashwords and Dash 2 Digital. That’s okay. Until a few days ago I didn’t have much idea either. I’ve heard of Smashwords before but didn’t realise exactly what it is.

Both of these companies are essentially ebook distributors. By using these companies you only have to worry about uploading one written document and one book cover, and they will see that your book gets to as many markets as possible in the right format for that market. Considering how many different types of ebook readers are available and how many different markets there are,

Review of 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson

I like the concept of this book, but I think it failed to live up to its own promise.

There’s no denying that Jordan Peterson has an incredible mind. This book is filled with an overload of proof of his mental ability, and there’s plenty that is really useful. It could be said that there might even be too much information. In fact, that is where my problem lies with this book.

The Print Book is Here!!

I’ve been writing as a hobby for 16 years now, and I was starting to think that I would never see the day where I saw a finished, printed book in my hands with my name on the cover. But here it is.

Actually, what you’re seeing in the header image is a proof of what will be the final finished article and there are a couple of tweaks to be made to it… but I don’t want to get bogged down in that. The point of the matter is that I’m holding a physical copy of my book that can sit on my bookshelf,

Review of Summer Reign by John Conroe

Before I get into this review, I feel like I I have to start off by stating a couple of my biases regarding this book.

Firstly, I designed the book cover for this novel and while that doesn’t effect my overall review, I just wanted it to be clear. Secondly, The Demon Accords is probably my favourite series at the moment. They’re fun, easy reading books that are so addictive that I have probably gone through the entire series up to 5 times already.

There, that’s off my chest. I feel better already. On to the review…

Proxy is Finally Published!!!

That’s right, you read that correctly. There are indeed 3 exclamation marks in the header. This is because I have finally published my first novel.

Of course, I say first novel, but I actually mean the first I’m willing to share with other people. I have been writing since I was 16 and there have been a lot of stinkers along the way.

I got into it after reading the Wheel of Time books. The series was enjoyable, but I was frustrated by a lot of elements in it. So, I took snippets and rewrote them how I wanted them to go,
